The Community Pharmacy Residency Program has been offered by Hen House Pharmacy and the KU School of Pharmacy since 2001. The 53-week program begins the last week of June through June 30 the following year, and residents work approximately 8-10 hours per week at Hen House Pharmacy. The Hen House pharmacists precept and interact with students from area pharmacy schools throughout the year, and there is also an opportunity for didactic teaching at the KU School of Pharmacy.
